Hi I'm Sam,
a compulsive creative who loves to sew and teach others how to with equal passion and
I have been making things since my first Barbie ballgown took shape when I was about 8.
I have attended craft fairs for many years and whilst my actual handcrafted products have changed direction slightly, I still love the
atmosphere and camaraderie of events.
Today, I create memory keepsakes,
hold children's sewing workshops and
have an online sewing membership
where I am the queen of simplified sewing.
I also teach in a primary school for 2 days a week.
I work at home and I genuinely think
I have the two best jobs in the world.
The first, gives me quiet and solitude, the second means I get to spend time in a world full of childish wonder, noise and hilarity. I can't imagine not having that balance anymore.
Creating keepsakes is similarly balanced.
I meet people who are struggling with the loss of loved ones and people who are celebrating their children's first years and school milestones. The sentimental keepsakes I create for you are as different and unique as you, your family and your life.
I pride myself on working thoughtfully with your clothes and always being aware of the courage it can take to part with your precious belongings.
I become very invested in your story and the stories that your clothes tell and I hope this shows in every stitch that captures your memories.
To date, I have created over 600 keepsakes and feel privileged to have played a part in every one
love

When my Dad sadly passed away last year I wanted something for my Mum so she felt close to my Dad. Together we chose his favourite shirt. Sam did an amazing job turning it into a teddy. Mum loved it and I can't thank Sam enough. The teddy sits on my Dad's chair and many people have commented on him.
